Learning

Have you always had some difficulty learning, either in school or on the job?

Do you find oral or written explanations and directions hard to follow?

Have you always felt not “smart enough” to learn?

Perhaps you know a child struggling in school?

Berard AIT retrains the brain’s processing capabilities and makes learning easier. Learning is not a question of intelligence, but simply the process of acquiring new, or modifying existing, knowledge, behaviors, and skills. When auditory and sensory processing problems impact this process, learning is difficult. Berard AIT rewires the processing system; the brain and body become well-integrated and information can be learned and retained in an organized way.

Learning, or the process of acquiring new, or modifying existing, knowledge, behaviors, and skills is usually an enjoyable and rewarding experience. When the process is disrupted by problems, such as difficulty remembering, or keeping things in the correct sequence, or understanding the directions (whether spoken or written), learning becomes a challenge and may no longer be the pleasure it should be.

There are many functions that must work smoothly so the whole process of learning can run at an optimal level.

Perception, or the ability of the senses to respond correctly to stimuli, is a prerequisite to learning. Faulty perceptions lead to faulty conclusions and disrupt the learning process. The sensory system must perceive and interpret incoming stimulation correctly.

Effective auditory processing is critical to the understanding of the information. The information must be sequenced correctly, and then put into memory for later recall. Visual processing must be integrated with the auditory system for ease in reading, and accomplishing other visual tasks, including writing, typing, and texting. When these systems do not work well together, the learner adapts by using strategies, which sap energy and make learning more challenging.

When these systems are operating properly, learning basic skills, as well as higher order skills, such as logical reasoning and problem-solving, are easier to achieve and the level of learning is enhanced. Berard AIT rewires the processing system; the brain and body become well-integrated, and learning moves forward in a more natural way.
